Bike Burlington Wednesday Night Dinner Rides

Join us for Bike Burlington’s weekly Wednesday night dinner ride! Great exercise, good food and drinks, this is a fun and causal, after-work bike ride with family and friends. People meet at Bickel’s around 5p.m. to ride their bicycles to a chosen destination town (including Ft. Madison, Mt. Pleasant, and Yarmouth), eat dinner together, and then take a bus ride (with attached bike trailer) back home around 9p.m.

Time to Roll Out!

It’s encouraged that riders leave in time to get to the destination town before dark. So, generally that means leaving no later than 5:30p.m (earlier in the spring & fall). Most riders leave together at 5p.m. Average ride distance is approximately 25 - 40 miles.

Bring the Kids & Take It Easy!

If biking the full distance is a bit too much, Bike Burlington has their school bus that leaves Bickel’s at 6p.m. People are welcomed to ride the bus to a certain point in the route, finishing the rest of the way on their bicycles.

This is a great option for new cyclists and families with young children!

Out n' Back

Some rides (especially towards the beginning & ending of the riding season) will be Out n' Back Rides. Riders meet at a local restaurant in the Burlington area, bike out from that location for a shortened ride, and then return back to eat.

Take a Spin with Us!

Sign-In is requested so the club knows you are going; it also ensures you a seat on the bus ride back! (The sign-up sheet is in the front entrance of Bickel’s). A $3 donation towards gas is also encouraged & much appreciated.

Newcomers are welcome anytime! And if you find that you love the rides (as we’re sure you will!), Bike Burlington asks that you join the club so you can receive full membership benefits.
