Seeking Host Homes

The Burlington RAGBRAI XLVII Housing Committee is looking for local residents interested in hosting RAGBRAI XLVII riders in their homes on July 26th!

Organizers are expecting about 300-400 homes needed to accommodate. Riders will begin to arrive in Burlington the morning of Friday, July 26th and depart no later than 9a.m. on Saturday, July 27th.

While campsites will be provided throughout town, this lodging is for riders who do not camp. Hosts are only expected to provide a place for riders to rest their heads for the night; this space can either be inside &/or outside.

While local housing hosts are not required to entertain guests, provide amenities, transportation, nor meals, additional accommodations are certainly at the hosts' discretion. This is a great opportunity to meet new people from all around the world and showcase our beautiful community.

The Burlington RAGBRAI Housing Committee will begin placing riders with hosts after May 1st. If interested, please complete the "Host a RAGBRAI Rider Form" found on BurlingtonRAGBRAI.com.

Additional campground locations will be available for RV campers.

An evening of fun is being planned along the Burlington Riverfront. RAGBRAI riders and Greater Burlington residents will enjoy a festive evening with live entertainment headlined by The Spazmatics.

What does the Bike Burlington Transportation & Support Fee get me?

A U-Haul is also rented for the transportation of bicycles & gear.
  • Parking for the week is FREE (in the lot behind Bickel’s Cycling & Fitness).
  • Bike Burlington will transport your luggage the entire week, find and set up the campsite daily, and will clearly mark the bike route, guiding you directly to the campsite. Campsite canopy & chairs will also be provided. Every rider is responsible for setting up his/her own tent.
  • A generator is provided at the campsite to recharge cell phones and other electronic devices.
  • Bike Burlington has an experienced bike mechanic that travels with them for service, repairs and adjustments.
  • Cold Drinks (including pop, water, Gatorade & alcoholic beverages) will be provided at the campsite. Please note - a Bike Burlington wristband will be needed to get beverages; this wristband is included in your transportation and support fee. No additional cash &/or drink tickets will be necessary.
