Wednesday Night Dinner Rides

If you're looking for great exercise, good food & drinks, and time with friends, join the weekly Bike Burlington Wednesday Night Dinner Rides! A fun & causal, after-work bike ride, people meet at Bickel's around 5p.m. to ride their bicycles to a chosen destination town (including Ft. Madison, Yarmouth, Wapello & Mt. Pleasant), eat dinner, and then take a bus ride back home together around 9p.m. Some rides are also Out n' Back trips where people meet at a local restaurant here in Burlington, bike out from that location for a shorter ride, and then return to eat. Ride schedules are communicated weekly!
2019 Alley Cat Bicycle Rally

An Alleycat Bicycle Rally is a form of unsanctioned street racing on bicycles created decades ago by bike messengers. Competitors combine navigation skills with raw speed to complete courses that might criss-cross a community for miles. A list of checkpoints is given out just minutes before the race and there is no set route.
6th Annual Spooktacular Boo-Athlon

Calling all ghosts, goblins and people who like to run, bike &/or enjoy doing both in the annual Ft. Madison PORT Boo-athlon! This event includes a 1/2 mile kid's race, 5K run/walk, 10-mile bike, duathlon (3 mile run, 10 mile bike, .2 mile run) and fun family activities. Proceeds benefit the PORT (Promoting Outdoor Recreational Trails) of Ft. Madison.
